Dr. Izak Herschitz attended the Riga Stradinš University Faculty of Medicine, where he received his medical degree. Dr. Herschitz is a diligent ophthalmologist serving the community of greater New York City. He currently runs his own practice with multiple locations.
Dr. Herschitz completed his residency in ophthalmology at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital Center. He then went on to complete a fellowship in retina at New York Medical College. He is a multilingual communicator who can converse in English, Russian, Latvian, and Spanish which makes him skilled in building and strengthening relationships with diverse populations.
Dr. Herschitz takes a genuine interest in researching and updating himself on various new advancements in ophthalmology, so his patients get the best and the most advanced treatment possible. He focuses on all aspects of a patient's experience which drive him towards excellence in providing healthcare.
